Welcome to Northlink College
Belhar College, Bellville Technical College, Protea College, Tygerberg College and Wingfield
Technical College
have merged to form Northlink College.
Northlink College has eight campuses of which the majority are located in the NORTHERN SUBURBS
of the Cape Peninsula. We offer a wide variety of study programmes in different fields. These
include:

We are one of the first FET (Further Education and Training) colleges with an interactive website.
You are invited to access our website on www.northlink.co.za for detailed information on the various
programmes and for an overview of student life and activities at Northlink College.
Students can enrol at the college as an alternative to high school (after passing Grade 9 at school)
and follow the National Certificate Vocational Level 2 - 4 and obtain a Matric Certificate or attend the
college once they have completed Grade 12 and then follow the National Qualifications Framework
(NQF) Level Programmes, National Certificate Programmes or National / International Diploma
Programmes.

All fees must be paid in full before a student can be granted permission to write an examination;
irrespective of year mark and class attendance. Pass requirements differ from department to
department. Please make enquiries.
Fees
A detailed fees brochure is available on request. Fees are subject to change without notice.
Sport
Social and club sport include soccer, rugby, athletics, cricket, hockey, netball, tennis, swimming, golf
and volley ball.
General
Full time lectures are offered from approximately 08:00 - 16:00.
Full board and lodging are available in the men’s and ladies’ residences on the
Belhar Campus and Tygerberg Campus. (Own transport and a minimum stay of 1 year are
required,)
Classes are offered in English and Afrikaans (student numbers determine).
Student centres, cafeterias, restaurants, internet facilities, media centres, social activities, student
councils and sport facilities are available to full-time - and part-time students.
Some programmes are also offered on a part-time or correspondence basis.
Career guidance and aptitude tests are available on request.
